Advice re indie entrance exam
Hi,
My son is taking the entrance exam for Bishop's Stortford College in Herts next month and all we know is that he will be tested on English, Maths, Reading and VR.
Can anyone advise the likely format of these tests? Will they be similar to the Essex 11 plus he took in September (he passed but didn't get a high enough score for the school he wanted after his normally strong VR dipped considerably on the day)?
Are there any specific revision books we should be using e.g Bond or others?
The school does not give much info at all about the exams and there appear to be no past papers available on the website.
Any help/ advice would be really welcome.
Thanks.

Re: Advice re indie entrance exam
Look at the English and Maths papers for the schools listed by Ladymuck These will give you a good idea what you need to focus on? Have you done any creative writing exams your state selectives? DG

Thanks for your replies. I have printed off some of the example papers Ladymuck recommended. Grateful for your help. I think his maths, VR and comprehension skills are fine, might just need to practice a few creative writing pieces as he's not so used to those.
