KES COMPREHENSION

Post by nearlyoverforus »

Hi - My son took the KES exam yesterday and did not have time to finish the comprehension. This was the case for a few of his friends as well. Did anyone else's child have the same issue?
Also found out that one of the boys had already seen that comprehension before! So he was very lucky! Not sure if the questions were the same but always good if familiar with passage!
Maths was fine, but again ran out of time and missed last three.
VR was fine.
He is really fretting about the English and the three maths questions he missed - we are trying to keep him calm - there is nothing he can do now!!

Just to say that I assume that there will be 'late sitting' arrangements for boys who have been ill this weekend...this query is fine but please don't mention the actual text.
Thank you.

I understand that even children with strong literacy skills did not finish the full comprehension, so no need to panic over that, I guess :) .

I would be surprised if a child has seen the comprehension before, although they may have seen the text as it could have been from a generally available book.
