Wallington Girls - joins Sutton Consortium with 2 stage test
Could some one find the link to the draft on School's or Sutton website?
In accordance with the School Admissions Code, please find attached our draft
admission arrangements for entry in September 2015. The consultation period lasts
until 28th February 2014 and all responses must be received by this date. Responses
should be sent to the Chair of the Governing Body via the school by post at
Wallington High School for Girls, Woodcote Road, Wallington, Surrey, SM6 0PH or
e mail at wallingtongirls@suttonlea.org
The main changes to the policy are:
1. The introduction of a first stage Selective Eligibility test for candidates, along
with other schools in the London Borough of Sutton.
2. The introduction of a second stage Wallington High School for Girls test
which includes both a Mathematics and English paper.
3. The removal of the verbal reasoning test from both of the testing stages.
Please note that all changes and amendments to the draft policy are marked in red
type.
The rationale for the change is to move to a testing system that is closer in format to
the work done by all students in primary schools.
VR/NVR completely dropped from all Sutton Grammar schools.

Is it possible for children outside of the area applying for two Sutton schools? Wilson& wcgs for boys and wallington high, nonsuch for girls?

Yes. Nonsuch would have 85 and WHSG 100 open places. WCGS is also mainly open selective.
Re: Wallington Girls - joins Sutton Consortium with 2 stage
Hi, thanks for the reply. what about the first test? will it be on the same day or the same test fits for all? if a boy applied for both of wcgs and wilson, where should he go for the first test?

The first test is common to all Sutton grammar schools and your DS can take it at any of the 3 boys schools. I suppose ease of travel should be the main factor where you take the test.
