Does anyone actually know when Birmingham LEA will e-mail?
Evening all:
Still a bit tuckered out after Friday's frenzied little party of excitement awaiting cutoff information from the KE Consortium - which alas has yet to appear.
Can I query whether any old hands at this game (?Ken R/ Um/ UmSusu/ A K Loving Dad/ etc...) whether there is a realistic chance Birmingham LEA will be e-mailing parents at midnight or indeed we can log in to the secondary transfers site and see results.
If there's little chance of this - please do let me know. Could do with the beauty sleep.
Thanks.

Re: Does anyone actually know when Birmingham LEA will e-mai
In 2011, got the result a few minutes after midnight by logging in rather than email.
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 8&start=50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
In 2013, got the result around 8am, again by logging in.
http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 11&t=30991" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I think there's no hard and fast rule especially on a weekend. My experience was that emails weren't sent on time and logging in was the best way. Emails were sent in batches so even those within the same LEA didn't necessarily felt them at the same time.
I'm sure others will chip in with their experiences.

Birmingham admissions website says that parents will receive an email by 3.30pm on Monday.
With ds2, 2 years ago, we received the email at about 7.30am. The website (online admissions) did not update until around 3.30pm.

I wonder how they decide to send the batches!! ... I'm pinning my hopes on it being alphabetical as we are in the first half of the alphabet!!!!
I really am thinking about this far too much, as I'm sure we all are!!!!

No, I doubt that it is alphabetical given the time that I received ds2's email...and his surname

Can't even remember the email. I was too impatient to wait anyway so just logged in.

Just means you can't submit a new application or amend an existing one I think.

Thank you moseleymum, I thought that's what it meant but I can't even see our chosen preferences or do anything, just that msg. Oh well! Ill have to wait and see tomorrow, otherwise panic!

I don't think we will get an email tonight, nor will KE magically update. We are meant to really suffer tonight.
