Nonsuch waiting list

Post by whathappened »

Dear all,
Have posted before about a dear friend with a daughter who scored 207 for Nonsuch. Was given great advise before and told my friend to sit tight as she could well be in with a chance, albeit a small one.
Sadly my friend has had the hardest year you could imagine going through and I am just praying she gets this one bit of good news to make her see the world is not against her.
Do you lovely, helpful people think it is just possible her lovely daughter can get in?
I would never give her false hope but am finding it hard to see someone so down on their luck,
Thank you for any help/support
regards whathappened

Are there some circumstances or events in family that would have resulted in test performance being affected, then appeal may be an avenue. Has this dd achieved level 5 already and likely to get level 5A or 6? Could her primary school give strong favourable reference? I think consult our forum's experts in Appeal section.

Dear Tiffinboys,
I am so glad you replied, you have been really helpful to me in the past years,i have really admired the support you have offered to others so thank you for that.
I am in the fortunate position of having my dd at Wallington and this forum was so helpful.
In regard to my friend, she found out that her husband was not who she thought and he has not only gone but so has all her savings. This happened just after her lovely dd sat the test so it would be hard to appeal. The reason I am wishing her success with Nonsuch is that her ex told her she was wasting her time even sitting their dd for it ,her dd was a level 4a last I heard but he did not believe in her the way that we did.It would be just perfect for her to get into Nonsuch and show him!
Thank you so much for trying to help,i really appreciate it,
Has Nonsuch offered below initial cut off score in the past? if so,could it possibly go down to 207?
Thank you Tiffinboys,so much

My DD did not get offer from Non Such. We are ooc and she scored 229 just on the borderline. I wonder if anyone knows any chances of the first round cut off score going down based on previous years results.

My DD scored 341 at Nonsuch last year when cut off score was 342. We are ooc as well, but we got a letter on 5th April offering her the place. Good luck to your DD, I think you have a very good chance. [quote="October"]My DD did not get offer from Non Such.

Dear organizedmom,
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and glad to know that there is still some hope. We will keep our fingers crossed and pray she gets through.

Hi, We have just declined the place at Nonsuch, as we received an offer from TGS. That will free-up a place at Nonsuch. Good luck to you all.
