Bowdon Prep parents. Can anyone help?
We are looking at Bowdon Prep school as a school for our DD. If anyone is willing to help me regarding just a couple of questions I have about the school uniform I would really appreciate it. Could you please PM me?

My girls go there, what do you need to know?

What uniform do they wear at the beginning of the year? Summer or Winter? And when do they change over? Do they all change over at the same time or is it up to you? Just wondering what I need to buy first really.

In September they return in the summer uniform, we then usually get a message asking for the girls to move to winter uniform when it gets cold, so usually after the October half term. They then stay in Winter until about Easter. We get asked to change over at the same time, but it is weather dependent. So if your dd is starting in Sept she will def need the dress, cardy and blazer.

Thank you. That's very helpful. It looks like a lovely school.

Hi
New starters in usually go for winter uniform but if you ring school ask when the next PTA uniform sale is as you can get blazer, dress and hat for a snip. I've only bought my blazers from the 2nd hand sale. It is a lovely school, we will all miss it when my dd leaves in summer !

Thanks so much for that! I will certainly do that. After adding up the cost of the whole kit I got quite a surprise. A few bits bought from the sale will definitely help.

It is difficult to understand why someone will choose an independent school in this area, where the primaries are so good. I am sure the school is very good, though.

We don't live in Bowdon, but can say that it is a fabulous school.
