Very interesting, shows how much movement there is, with possibly more to come.

King Edward VI Aston School 214 now down 1 to 213

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys 235 now down 2 to 233

King Edward VI Five Ways School 224 now down 2 to 222

Girls:

King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls 226 now down 3 to 223

King Edward VI Five Ways School 224 now down 2 to 222

King Edward VI Handsworth School 215 now down 2 to 213

Can someone please explain how this works?? Am I getting this right?: For the above KEFW example if PAN is 180 then does over PAN of 10 mean 190 were offered places (in which KE foundation assume that around 10 would go elsewhere)? How do those on the waiting list come into it? In the same example does it mean 10 went elsewhere PLUS a further 12 to get an extra 22 dc from the waiting list hence the lower cut-offs? For KEFW in this eg does it mean everyone got in at 223 & only some on 222- could 221 make it in? Around those scores how many dcs are there in between each pointROUGHLY? - around 10???
Sorry for my ignorance but I'm just trying to get my head around this after finally mastering age standardisation!!!

I think it means that you add the over PAN number to the waiting list offers to give you the number of rejections for that school from the original total offers (PAN + Over PAN) -

viz for KEFW they made 190 Offers (10 over PAN)
They have received 32 rejections (to-date)
Resulting in 22 offers from the waiting list
Which meant the cut-off score for the last child in (no 22 on the list) has dropped to 222

I'm afraid unless someone asks the Foundation Office we won't know how many more children there are on the waiting list with a score of 222 and whether 221 still has a chance

It truth it probably unlikely there will be more than a handful of further offers from the waiting list - you are know down the children whose parents are maybe moving out of the area or some other significant event.

Thanks KenR. First standardisation and now PAN - I feel I'm a fountain of knowledge on all things 11+ now :)

Sorry Onebigdilemma can't offer you much apart from this small snippet with regard Queen Mary's:

On 03/03/14
  • QMGS rank of 368 (score 321) would be the last place offered.

QMHS rank of 460 (score 315) would be the last place offered.
