Painting kitchen cupboards
DH is struggling to get a good finish on our new kitchen cupboards! They are wooden and were supplied primed, and he is using an oil based eggshell by Sanderson - indigo blue, a lovely colour!- I digress, the finish on the drawers is great but on bigger doors it doesn't look great, obvious drag and uneven finish. Help! Any suggestion gratefully received to relieve the tension here.....DH has spent the last two weekends slaving over them.

Hmmmm. I'm not great on decorating tips, but I know that youtube is brilliant and it might be worth searching on there for "achieving even finish on wood with eggshell" or whatever, you'd be surprised how much help there is out there........
Hope you sort it soon

Use a gloss mini roller, I did a whole set of pine furniture that way. It takes ages, as you need three coats as it lays it down thinly, but looks absolutely smashing.
Also put mat varnish or wax under or around the handles and on the edges as this area gets worn and looks ropey....learnt the hard way..on son number two's wardrobe.
Good luck.

Re: Painting kitchen cupboards
I've always found pads to give a better finish than brushes, so may be worth a try
Re: Painting kitchen cupboards
Try Floetrol - it's a paint conditioner that helps eliminate brush marks as it gives a longer dry time so you can smooth out any drags. You add a small amount to your paint colour. I used it to paint a table and it turned out fine. Google it and you will find more info. I got it from a specialist decorating shop.
Might be worth researching?

Thanks everyone, need to try pads and floetrol, using a combination of roller and brush has helped a bit but it's still not perfect, NEVER AGAIN!!!
