Etienne - appeal form - how much detail

Post by Guest »

Can I write just a short statement on the appeal form? Ideally, I would prefer to send the form off as quickly as possible and to use the weeks approaching the appeal, to put forward my case. Is this wise?

Dear Guest

I see no objection to a short statement - the main points now, the details in your presentation at the appeal. I favour brevity anyway, and recommend bullet points (see Q&As E12 - this might well need adapting, depending on the admission authority and what it is you are appealing against).

If you eventually decide to introduce a lot of new information, it would be wise to send in a revised statement 1-2 weeks before the date of the appeal, so that the panel have time to consider it properly.

I've just seen your post in the other thread, so E12 won't be of much help - apart from making the point about brevity.

As far as your other question is concerned, one cannot be sure but it's unlikely that the two heads will talk to one another if this appeal is being handled by the LA.
