Sutton Mock Tests Session B - results up

I can't remember what score was deemed 'of selective ability' etc? Can someone remind me?

They say 216 on their blurb about the exam. DD did very well in the set A and not nearly as well in set B even though she said it was much easier. Trying to think what that means and if there are some learning objectives we can glean from it? It does show that they can have good and bad days and one good or bad result in isolation doesn't mean a great deal.

Yes, thanks Hera, I've just read the notes. Forgot to look at that!

Presumably, as it's standardised by the other DC who took the test, most of those who took it will be going for the London superselectives, be it HBS etc or Tiffin.

Well, I don't believe it......DD got exactly the same Standardised score in session B!

That puts her in the top 5% for Session B and top 7% for Session A..................she's got to be pleased with that 8)

Wow! That's consistency, Sonasona. Which schools is your DD trying for?

First review much better marks this time than Session A but to be expected as most students I know did both. DG

I know, interestingly her English was marginally better this time around (even she said the paper was simpler this time around).
Her maths is always in the mid 90s.

She'll be sitting Kendrick and our local Indi.

DD only did Mock Test B. As expected did well in English compared to Maths. I think silly mistake syndrome is her downfall in Maths (as it was a standardized paper as opposed to MC). Any advice from parents on how to help her to avoid making these mistakes
