Equation for a line
One of the mock papers that DC is attempting had a line from coordinates (0,6) to (6,0). She was asked to choose an equation that represented the line.
I am aware of y = mx + c, where m is the slope and c is the y intercept.
Are they expected to know or is there an easier to way to determine the equation of the line

Re: Equation for a line
Try substituting the co-ordinates into the equation.
Re: Equation for a line
Are line equations part of KS2 studies ? I thought they were more ks3.
Will CEM have any of these questions ?

Re: Equation for a line
I think I read somewhere about co-ordinates being last years Bucks prep papers but like you say I'd be surprised to see this type of question come up in CEM.....then again who knows?
Re: Equation for a line
Thanks all for the response. Will advice DC to substitute co-ordinates
