These are provisional results - final results aren't done yet!! A bit premature ...

It is progress from starting points you need to consider - this school is highly selective, so SHOULD get fantastic results.

Could the final results be lower than the provisional results i.e. after appeals or remarks?

There are many other similar schools - selective - TGS has topped them all this year. Happy moments for Tiffin Girls. :D :D :D

Yes - and others schools results could be higher.

As I said - it's the progress of students that is most important. What % of girls are level 5 on entry in Year 7?

There may also be other schools with better intake than TGS. Even assuming all girls started with level 5 or better, the results are still to be proud of. Let us congratulate schools who achieved outstanding results.

Yea let's celebrate ALL schools which get outstanding progress from their students - it's far harder to get good results with lower ability intake ...

Totally agree with you, g55.

Also not to undermine achievement of schools with fantastic results. Hope your Grammar school did well too.

Fantastic for Tiffin Girls :)

Yes, of course it's a highly-selective school. But who would actually want to say to one of those girls, "well, yes, you've done well, but of course you've always been clever, so we're not that pleased about it" ?

Why do people have such a weird thing about academic intelligence? If a school won a football competition and someone mentioned it, would the first comment be, "oh, don't forget all those other schools whose kids try really hard at football"? No, it wouldn't.

This is a fantastic result for the school again; third year in a row?

Personal friends daughter was accepted into Oxford from this school. Wonderful news

aliportico - most people don't come on here to 'big up' the schools their children go to - I don't nor do I promote where I teach.

This website is about supporting each other ... not trying to outdo each other.
