Spaces at Sir Henry Floyd and Aylesbury Grammar

Post by Candy33 »

Hi, Does anyone out there know if there are any spaces at SHF or Aylesbury Grammar in Year 7? Am contemplating letting DS sit 12 plus in 2015. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Currently Burnham, John hampden, chesham and Henry Floyd all have spaces, aylesbury grammar does not.

In general he will have to have achieved a full set of level 5 sats at the end of year 6 to sit a late entrance test, some schools do their own tests now.

It is worth bearing in mind Floyd has taken a sixth form in Year 8 this year (normally a 5 form intake). They have 4 forms in Year 7. Not sure how it will pan out over the coming years!

We had the same dilemma last year as you and only took the exam for Floyd in the end. My daughter would have had to have done a separate one for High school which was unlikely to have places.

I was in the same position as you last year (as was confusedaylesburymum!) My dd took the 12 plus earlier this year and is now starting at the Floyd next week. The school have taken a whole new class in to Year 8. It is definately worth a shot :)

Well done to your DD buzzybee.

Thank you for all your replies. Luckily he got 5's in all his subjects. I am also looking at Chesham Grammar and maybe Dr Challonor. Any info on those ones?

Many thanks

Dr Challoner is unlikely to have places and you would need to live in catchment. I think Chesham is full in Year 7 this year ..

Whereabouts are you roughly?
