St Albans High School Girls (Consortium 1)
Does anyone know how many candidates sit for St Albans and what their intake is?

Re: St Albans High School Girls (Consortium 1)
The High School, as it is known locally, is a very good school and girls do very well there. I know a student who just collected 11 A stars at GCSE last month. There are 48 preps who take almost half of the places. There are 100 places and 4 classes. They have a new Head who has come from St Pauls Girls school where 54% of the girls go to Oxbridge so this will be a new focus. About 400 girls apply but many are also sitting Habs, City and NCLS so not all would take the places if offered. I would strongly recommend it. In my opinion it is second only to City in the Consortium. Many girls who don't manage to get a place at DAO go there and excel. DG
