English in the 2014 test
How did they find it? My daughter said it was easy. This has set alarm bells ringing. Either she has done well or she has not understood the questions properly. Her spelling last year really went downhill in her own work. I think the teacher was encouraging more creative language even if she couldn't spell it. All good but in a test?

My DD found the comprehension hard. I am also getting worried now
Re: English in the 2014 test
My son said he really enjoyed it and learnt lots.....! I think he'll be ok on the English - it's the maths I'm stressing about.

My dd said it was easy and she enjoyed it. She's rubbish when it comes to literacy so I'm thinking oh. but who knows . I've spent an hour working out her averages on the GL papers and think she might be ok, unless of course it really was easy and everyone else scored 100%.

How did yours manage with the timings?
My DS said he had time to go back and double check some questions.

Re: English in the 2014 test
DS said the English was "fine". He's much better at spelling and grammar; his punctuation leaves a lot to be desired, so we feel fortunate.
The Maths, not so much eh.
