Appeal with 107 and 108?

Post by Guest »

My son is very he was predicted to pass from the school however we're really not sure what happened on the day I guess the nerves really kicked in.

Is it worth appealing or leave it as it is a really low score. I don't want to stress him.

Fingers crossed he scores better in the Berks exams...

It's not impossible with these scores, but very difficult. It depends on the strength of your case, and the supporting evidence.

Last year 3% of Bucks appeals with scores under 110 succeeded - they had very strong headteacher support, and there were significant extenuating circumstances (e.g. the death of a sibling).

I guess we'll only have his academic results and a letter from the headmaster.

I don't mind getting all of the information together but if we are unsucessfull I don't want it to upset my son again only would like to proceed if we had a good chance.

Perhaps it would be best if you tried for appeal but did not let your son know - thus preventing the possibility of further disappointment?
