My guess would be d as the shape is rotated and the bottom box contains the sum of the original 2 boxes?

I think it is d as well.
Box is rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise and -1 from right-hand goes on top, left-hand dots + right-hand dots go into the bottom.
What is the correct answer?

Thanks for efforts, my son got this wrong in a test and we do not have right answer. I was unable to get my head around it. So the logic is:- top has difference and bottom rectangle has sum of dots.
