In Maths test according to my DS "one question was almost impossible to answer" he was ok with the rest. I am not going to say exactly what they had to do in the English test, but I'm afraid my DS made a 'meal of it'! He had 30 minute to spare and didn't bother adding the most important details! Oh dear! :(

My DS found the mathematics quite challenging although he is quite good at maths. Struggled with at least 5 questions even though attempted all questions. Found the creative writing easy. :?

My ds found them both quite difficult, Maths is his strong point but he left a few questions, whether or not he spent too much time on a few difficult ones I don't know. English he found hard too but English isn't his strong point. I don't think he will have got through, but we have a great local secondary that we fell in love with so we almost pulled him out of the second stage but decided to let him have a go. But we won't be disappointed if doesn't get through, he's put a lot of hard work in and am really proud of him whatever the outcome. Wallington on Saturday, then its all over. Yay.

My DS thought he "survived" Maths - I expected it to be hard and was using KS3 materials up to Level 8 in anticipation. But yes, 2 of the questions were challenging he said.

For English, again not something we practiced - it just so happened that I covered it with him towards the end and he said he was glad I did.

By the way, interestingly "htm123" - we actually overheard a boy on the way back telling his dad "...I had 30 minutes to spare in English" !
