Timings and format

Post by cheltbornandbred »

Just wondered if anyone could let me know whether the format of the 'new' tests mean that children have a 50 minute paper to work through at their own pace or are they timed for each section? Thanks.

They are timed for each section. A pre-recorded CD is used to guide them when to move to the next section. It is not permitted to go back and review a section after you have moved on from it, so they have to complete and check all in one go - and they may only have 10 minutes for a section. Some they have more.

Hope that helps,
