CCHS OR WHSG???

I have found this forum really good and it's so lovely reading posts from people in the same position and reading advice etc. My dd looks like she has scored highly enough for either cchs or whsg, her preference from the open evenings was cchs, has anyone got any views on either? We are ooc for whsg and ic for cchs however the coach for cchs is earlier and gets back later! They spend 7 years there so it's not something you want to get wrong. My gut feeling is cchs, however can't help wondering whether she would fit in better at whsg, she is a normal bright child. God this is so hard. Gutted that cchs are not running an open day like the csse schools!

They spend 5 years and then they choose their sixth form. Let her choose.

Proudmum78, I could have written your post. DD also seems to have done well enough for i/c CCHS and o/c WHSG. She prefers CCHS, but also loved WHSG and the travel times are quite a bit shorter. I suspect we will follow DD's preferences.

Coupled with the fact that I don't feel we can celebrate until allocations come out (I'm a "don't count your chickens" sort of person), I think that the next few months are going to be pretty nerve wracking. And as we don't know anyone else in real life who even sat the 11+, very few people understand why I am still on tenterhooks. Hopefully it will all come right in the end, whatever our choices.

Thanks both. Yes although we have the results, the wait and the nerves continues! My dd is actually fairly relaxed about it all I am the only one panicking
