Out of area test marks

Post by moved »

From what I understand a child educated in a Kent primary school will be given their marks by the school after they have been allocated a school. How do those of us who are moving into the area obtain our results?

I suggest you phone KCC and ask.

In Kent it's your primary school which gives you the marks (if you ask). They will have received them about a month earlier to enable the head teacher to appeal a fail if (s)he doesn't think it reflects the child's ability. This is done before school places are decided so that such children can be treated as having passed in the first round of allocations.

I'm not sure if your child's primary school will be sent the marks in the same way, but it seems likely even if you are out of county. Have the school had previous experience of this? If so, perhaps they could advise.
