oh my daughter got 43metres.

Reverse the journey.
1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13

Add 1 and 13
3 and 11, etc

dont know why she only added 11,9,13,7 and 3 hence 43 but her diagram shows all numbers

I suggest that there is actually no need to add up her numbers. Her numbers are an arithmetic progression. The rule for arriving at the sum of an arithmetic progression is to multiply the middle value by the number of terms. The middle value of her numbers is 7 and the number of terms in her numbers is also 7. The sum of the progression is therefore 7 x 7 = 49.
