Past questions
Hi,
What type questions did they ask last year, and materials I should taught for my Dd to prepare for Swconsortium exam. I know you can't buy Morayhouse papers but can I buy Nfer maths past papers

Re: Past questions
My sons thought that Athey was the closest in type to the VR papers. The Susan Daughtrey Technique and Practice books were good prep. Anything that gets them to the point of answering 100 questions (of a wider range of types than Bond) in 45 minutes.
Anything that makes your child accurate in Maths will help (as that's what they will need to be). No misreading the question, no mistakes in calculations. They don't need to be fast or a Maths prodigy, but they can't afford to make mistakes.

Re: Past questions
I don't think past papers are available - certainly just followed advice on this forum and used a selection of Bond, Athey etc. We looked at the suggested books in the shop section on here.
To be honest, we spent most of our time working on verbal reasoning. Once he had the idea of the questions, it was a matter of exam technique which applies to both maths and VR. The questions are not that hard, but speed and accuracy are the most important thing.

Re: Past questions
Herts Consortium, DAO, St ALbans and St M's all use Moray House papers for VR and Athey are closest to them so 18 papers to work with. NFER became GL so use GL Maths papers and also FPP from the forum. As has just been said speed and reading the question is the key thing. DG
Re: Past questions
Thank you every one for you prompt advice.
Re: Past questions
Hi DG
In your post, you had mentioned 18 papers from Athey for VR.
Do you mean six papers of the pack 1, pack 2 and pack 3 ?
