Moving to Bucks in October 2015

Post by robben »

Need advise on moving to bucks as my son is writing his 11+ this September (2015). Keen to know the impact if I move to bucks during mid October and which Grammer schools will accommodate after result move in to Bucks area pls. Cannot afford to move and not get seat if he has scored as required to get through.

Any suggestions are welcome....

You need to move before the results come out and before April 2015 if you want DCGS.

Which schools are you interested in ...?

Your current address will be used if you aren't in Bucks before the specified date.

http://www.buckscc.gov.uk/education/sch ... key-dates/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This was the timetable for entry THIS September.

It is risky ... are you only moving if your child qualifies?

So what is the straight line distance to the schools you are considering ....?

That's the question you need to look at to see if it's worth trying to get a place .... and there's no chance of DCGS as you would need to be in catchment.

John Hampden is 15 miles
Burnham GS is 16 miles
RGS is 17 miles

Closest to my place..not sure which catchment we can get through!

This is the historic picture but you won't know who has applied where and which school you've got until March 2016 AFTER your move ....
