AQA level 2 certificate Further Maths (GCSE equivalent)
DS's school want him to do this exam this summer (he is in year 9) but we think it would be better if he waited until year 10 or 11.
Does anyone have any advice please?

Don't do any GCSE early - the grade is treated as if it was achieved in Year 11: universities don't see the entry as 'early'.

A very interesting question.
One risk might be that taking the exam early may result in something less than the best possible result. Does that matter? After all it is neither a GCSE nor an AS Level. Does it even need to be reported on an UCAS entry form?
More questions than answers I'm afraid.

ALL GCSE or equivalent (which this is) results have to be included on UCAS form.Loopyloulou wrote:A very interesting question.
