Peregrines 2015

Post by Guest55 »

The eggs are being incubated in several nests around the country. I am sharing these webcams as a distraction from 11+ and politics:

Aylesbury: nest sited near the top of County Hall

Derby: nest sited on cathedral (choice of cameras on the right of this page)

Norwich: nest sited on cathedral (site also has links to other cameras)

Nottingham Trent: nest sted at the uni

Enjoy :D

Aw thanks Guest. They are really beautiful, but I would want to be a mouse around there.

I'm lucky that I work from home and my desk faces patio doors so I get a window of nature in front of me all day. My garden isn't big or interesting and I only get pigeons, doves, sparrows and blackbirds, but I love it all the same. We've had a grouse and a kestrel recently, but that was because BMW destroyed a field down the road from us and all the wildlife had to try to escape. An old fox that lived there who I loved watching for a couple of years was run over last week and I've lost count of the number of rabbits I've seen run over as well. Heartbreaking. At least these beauties are spared that. Off to watch them again now.

I'll post again when the chicks start hatching as they are sooo cute for such a powerful animal.

I'm sure these roosts have been scientifically designed to be effective but they are a bit ... brutal. Aren't they lucky with their view in Norwich?
