offer BGS 12+

Hi all

I received yesterday two letter same time from BCC and one letter says BGS offered and second letter says no places in BGS put on waiting list.
very confused which one is right though check with them on Tuesday. any idea.

Are you within the allocation distance that Sally-Anne posted?

It sounds like there are two children with similar names and you won't be sure until Tuesday.

live 14 miles away from BGS. same name same DOB. same address.can't be two people.

Did you check on the allocation list? It says 'all offered' for 12+.

Yes it says all offered. Finger Cross.
My Son also offered JHGS.
Thinking of BGS due to easy commute although he likes JHGS.
I dont think academically much difference in both schools.

Go with the one that you preferred and that is easier to get to.

They are both good GS - one is mixed though - that is the main difference.

You may have received the letters on the same day, but which one says no places and were they both written / postmarked the same day? My guess would be that the 'place' letter was sent after the 'waiting list' letter? If so, then possibly on Tuesday or Wednesday you will get another 'place offered' letter from whoever sent the 'waiting list' letter - I'm guessing this was the LEA (but please forgive me if I'm completely wrong here).

I received two letters as well for my DS. Wonder what was happend and which one was correct. I am thinking of contacting bucks council on Tuesday.

just contacted BCC. They confirmed they offered everyone who qualified 12+ for BGS.
