Latest Raw scores and pass marks from KCC

Post by Mandalay123 »

Hello,
I just wondered if anyone had this info or had put in a FOI request to KCC following the 2014/2015 candidates?

Due to the fact that the test is remaining, to a large extent, within the same format - do we think it would be useful to have this..?

i haven't submitted one before so any advice much appreciated - or indeed, if someone has this info already, please would you mind re-posting?
thanks

To score 106 in each paper:

A child aged 10 years 1 month needed

Maths 11/30
English 16/24
Reasoning 37/80

A child aged 11 needed

Maths 13/30
English 17/30
Reasoning 39/80

To score 138 in English, or 141 in the other papers:

A child aged 10 years 1 month needed

Maths 26/30
English 24/24
Reasoning 70/80

A child aged 11 needed

Maths 27/30
English 24/24
Reasoning 70/80

The English required a 100% raw score to achieve 138.

I would expect both Maths and English to be different this year. Maths raw score to pass was too low because they made it too hard to finish, too many complex questions in too short a time.

English conversely was too easy, with no age differentiation available at the top end.

2015 Kent Test contract

Post by tigger1 »

Hi,
Does anyone know who has been given the contract for this year Kent test, please. Is it GL? I fou d the familiarisation booklet and I assume in the real test paper there are more questions than the mock one. Is that correct?
Thank you

It's GL again this year. The practice papers we did last year were similar in nature for English, and reasoning (without spatial.) Maths was seemingly pretty different in terms of number of questions in the time and number of complex questions.

Great information, thanks so much.
