I think you'll get better answers on here than from a Kent primary school teacher unless they are private tutors for the Kent test and are happy to give away some free help!

What is it that you want to know?

I don't know exactly what to ask... But I was thinking something about... Maybe simple questions like where the exam is gonna take place? Or what children are allowed to bring to the exam? How long the exam will be? Is it a whole day?
Perhaps if the school is supporting the children for the
Test?
But I think you might be right about that I will find better Answers here in the forum.
Thanks.

Have you looked first of all at the information which is available on the Kent County Council website? You need to go to secondary school admissions and then explore all the information you can find in the place about grammar entry.

Is it this September your child will sit? Have you registered?

If your child is at a Kent state primary school the only thing you can expect them to do (and really that they should do) is administer the test itself correctly on the right day.

If it is this September there's a familiarisation paper and quite a bit of info on the website which is as much (probably more) than the teacher will know unless they take a particular interest in it.

The four subjects will all be on one day and there is also the writing task. The finer details of the timetabling are up to the school - length of breaks etc. They should be able to tell you close to the time what their plans are if your child (like mine) would like to know if it's going to go on into the afternoon or all be squashed into one long mporning. They should have a quiet room, a clock they can see, enough space for no cheating. They'll have an invigilator from another school and another adult ideally so that if there's a disturbance or a toilet trip there's one adult to stay in the room while the other one sorts things out quietly.

Good. Make sure you go through the 8 familiarisation papers produced by GL assessment in each of the four subjects:

English
Maths
Verbal reasoning
Non-verbal reasoning

They produce books on how to do the verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning which are worth buying.
