tough question to quantify I know ...

Post by thescribe »

Hey all, it's getting close to that time.

Just wondered if there was any advice on what sort of marks my DS should be getting about now on the papers to be in with a chance?

He's doing the GL assessment ones.

Also, how close are they in reality to the actual exam? Is it likely to be much harder?

Any replies would be great, thank you!

A lot will depend on the school you are looking at. Some will have harder tests, some will have tighter timings than the practice papers.

Have you tried to find out the raw scores needed to pass each year in each subject? That could give you some kind of feel. But take it with a pinch of salt as the level of difficulty of the tests can be different from the practice papers as can the time allowed per question.
