OOC - when do we find out where test is?

Hi there,

We are OOC (out of county) and have registered for the test.

Do any other previous OOC parents know when we find out where we will be actually sitting the test please??

I seem to remember that it was well into August when we found out last year.

Last year DD1 sat hers at TWGGS and it was an early start - I'm assuming it will be the same for DD2 this year.

We live in Burwash Common so assume you will have the same centre.

We're sitting it at Cranbrook, how about you?

She was fine - it was me who was a wreck.

I really wasn't prepared for the hoardes of people at the centre and the feeling of them being herded like cattle.

I left in tears but apparently DD1 wasn't at all phased by it.

At least I will be prepared for it.

Still no letter here yet.

Seeing this is spooky, DH just called to say letter had arrived and did I want him to open it, of course I did! DD will be sitting at The Judd in the morning on the 12th. All starting to seem so real...

Can I ask how much work you are doing with your children in the holidays? I'm being met with a little resistance here!!

Yes - some resistance here too.

I'm trying to do little and often but we are having a complete break next week and then some full papers in the following 3 weeks before she goes back to school.

Our letter has arrived now too and we have Cranbrook.

Quite glad it isn't Tunbridge Wells and hoping it will be a little better organised.

My DD has done a couple of mock exam sessions with approx' 35 children, and that was daunting enough!

I wonder how many there will be on the day, was quite surprised that the letter said they'd had over 4,400 OOC applications to sit the test!!!
