No food only water to be taken into exam

Post by neveragainmum »

Been told in exam detail letter no food to be taken into exam only water in a clear bottle. Problem is how can children recharge in between exams. Do you think flavoured water with high sugar content will do the trick or is this counterproductive. Your thoughts please.

Which school? Unless it has changed this year, the two Southend schools have always provided biscuits and squash / water in the interval. It is only two papers, though.

If you are going to Westcliff / SHSB / Tommy More I can recommend a nice cafe where you can get a good breakfast beforehand and be in plenty of time for the exam :)

Kegs provided biscuits and juice during the break in 2011. ChCHS provided biscuits and a bottle of water in 2012.

My ds is sitting Latymer next sat and they stipulate no food only water, they will not be providing snacks or drinks in between the two exams. Sounds silly perhaps but I am worried about brain energy levels dipping on second exam so ideally would have liked him to refuel. Everyone is going to be in the same boat I guess, but does anyone know if clear flavoured sugar water would help?

As you are posting in Essex, we all assumed that you meant the CSSE exam on September 19th.

Packet of glucose tablets in trouser pocket?

Not a problem, just mildly confusing

If you fancy a detour via. Leigh on Sea on the way to Enfield, though, the cafe opens at 7 :)
