Independant school with Maths scholarship

Post by Sunshine7 »

Hi

We live in SW London and my DD has just passed the 1st stage of the Sutton SET test with the 2nd stage in the next couple of weeks. We were also considering indi schools within a reasonable distance (Sutton, Croydon etc), but this will only be possible if she was awarded a scholarship. Does anyone know of any schools which offer a maths scholarship (her stronger subject), that we could consider?

Many Thanks

Old Palace offers Maths awards.

No harm is trying the more local girls schools as well. Indepedent schools tend to look more favourably on candidates who perform better in one subject - they're not stuck with the rigidity of the grammar scoring system.

How much of a Scholarship percentage do you need? Most of them these days are pretty low...
