Travel from Kingston to Wallington: to rule out or not?

Post by keen2know »

Hi,
I'd appreciate your advice please. My DD passed to WHSG and Nonsuch (but her score is not promising for OOC). I know the journey from Kingston to Wallington is long, but is it possible at all? Do you know anybody doing it? We are thinking to put WHGS on CAF or not. Thanks.

Hi keen2know,

your DD can take X26 bus, should be OK but slower during rush hour.

My dd passed Nonsuch with a not so promising ooc score, bit worries.

Without trying to pry on your DD's individual scores, what score range would you consider unlikely for OOC?

Last year, on allocation day OOC cut off was around 324. This figure might be lower this year so I would say 324-318 range for OOC. It all depends on how many girls in the top 80 who decided to rank Nonsuch as their first preference.

Also to keep in mind another possibility; if you move into the catchment before allocation day, you would become IC for the wait list. If your dd score is higher than the initial IC cutoff, she might be top of the list.

Hi,
Thanks for your help, we'll think a bit more... We won't be moving IC, too settled where we are. My DD's score is under 300.
