St Michaels Catholic Grammar Finchley 12th Nov
Here I am again wondering the best way to get to this Sixth Form Open event? Any advice from those in the know?
Anything special to look out for?
I'm all keen now after looking at WGGS and yesterday Channing-lovely both. surely we will find the right place for dd1. Anyway all this thinking about what she actually wants has been a good bonding experience and has clarified subject choices.
If only it would stop raining!!! It's making us late and stressed.

If it is like last year, there will be a speech by the headmaster and then you go and attend presentations by teachers about their subjects. It is all very organised but It can get very busy and quite hot, it is good to have some water with you. Try to go early if you can.
There is a Waitrose around the corner with 2 hours parking, I am not sure about restrictions in surrounding streets, some are residents' permit until 5 or 6.
I cannot comment on the school itself as I liked StM but it was not the school for DD, so she did not want to apply.

Thanks for the tip, I have never been to that one but it sounds like a good school and I'm looking forward to seeing it with dd. it's always hard to assess schools and open days are kind of a mixed blessing for sure.

And now I've realised it's on the same day as two others.
I am tired.
