North London consortium Group 2 today (City)

Post by Daogroupie »

The first outing of a new format for the writing section. Those who experience this today but really want a Group 1 school like St Albans or St Helens will be at a major advantage this time next week when they sit the same format in the Group 1 exam. They will have had a complete dry run and then have a week to consolidate.

As this is 50% of the marks this advantage could be very critical in securing an interview.

I am really looking forward to hearing all about it later on this afternoon. DG

Thanks DAO. My first time on here so please bear with me. When you mean new format do you mean having to do two writing tasks after the comprehension? My DD sat the consortium exam on Friday and found the comprehension tricky. Thanks in advance

Yes, two tasks instead of one for the writing is new this year. I prefer it and students I know of found it quite straightforward and are looking forward to having another good on Friday.

Are you doing G1 on Friday? DG
