Sep 2016 CEM Redbridge exam - all multiple choice?
Can anyone confirm whether the 11+ exam for Redbridge which will take place in September 2016 will definitely only be multiple choice format for all elements i.e. Maths, English, VR and NVR? Where can one find the definitive and official information? There is so much information on the Internet around generic guidance and lots of place say the exam style changes every year. Is there anything definite?
Thanks

Some of the elements of the English like missing letter Cloze require the candidate to write the correct letters in the spaces available so this is not multiple choice. DG

The familiarisation booklet is on the Redbridge website, not all examples given are MC but there is nice clear advice on how to complete the answer booklet:chris2020 wrote:Can anyone confirm whether the 11+ exam for Redbridge which will take place in September 2016 will definitely only be multiple choice format for all elements i.e. Maths, English, VR and NVR? Personally, I would be wary of trying to be too precise in what you tell your DC with regard to the exact format of questions. Much more important to tell them to read the instructions in front of them very carefully. There were reports after last year's exam in one area, I think, where children completed the answer sheet as their tutors had told them, rather than according to the instructions actually in front of them on the day.
