Hi ,

Just a bit apprehensive about the distance taken into consideration for 2016 admissions to Aylesbury Grammar School ?

Sorry, I don't know about this year, but for 2015 they went to 21.871m (as at May 2015).

How far away are you? We won't know until March allocations are released. Presumably you put another GS in second place?

Nearly 22 miles! Is that really a distance to travel twice a day for seven years?

Hadn't thought of that, Moon unit! We travel a third of that and I am already after 4 months trying to convince DC to jump out of the car and walk the final stretch :-) Though going by bus must be easier so, depending on route and distance, it may not matter so much. I guess what I mean by that is my DC's allocated bus leaves early to visit other schools, but if he was picked up a couple of stops further on then he could have an extra half hour in bed!

I agree it is the journey time and not the distant that is important.

We experienced an !8 mile journey with two private coaches and a roughly 3 mile journey with one. Both took roughly the same time
