Aspergers- extra time in exams?

Post by cindy »

Hi All,

does anyone know if Asperger's children are allowed any extra time in exam's?

My son has been diagnosed but does not have a statement (whatever that is?)

Christopher's problem in exams is time, so would be great if he could be given any extra?

thank you

No problem - here is the information:

http://www.qca.org.uk/qca_8589.aspx

This has details of how to get extra time and the official requirements - the school SENCo will have a paper copy of this.

Please note requests have to be submitted soon - early March for KS3.
