Just over a Week to go until Allocations day so I'm starting a thread for you to post your results.

I hope everyone gets the school they were hoping for, but please be sensitive as there will be those who haven't.

I believe Reading school post further info on their website on the day and I will add that here when it becomes available.

The Year 7and Year 9 offer letters will be sent out by second class post on Monday 29th February 2016. A copy of the Frequently Asked Questions is included in the waiting list letters and will be available on this page from 1st March 2016.

My DS received offer for Reading School....Thanks for all the info and help. It seems letters will arrive on 2nd only.

Dear Applicant

Allocation letters have been sent out today by first class post and should arrive through your door tomorrow - Wednesday 2 March. Your letter will explain how to accept the school place offer or how to add your child's name to a waiting list.

You may also receive an email confirming the outcome of your application - this should arrive in your inbox on the morning of Tuesday 1 March.

My DS received offer at Reading boys, atlast even the last bit of wait is also over

Heartiest congratulations to all the proud parents whose DS(s) got the well deserved place at Reading School.

It will be interesting to know what is this year's cut off marks on National offer day when the total seat numbers increased from 124 for 2015 entry to 150 for 2016 entry.

112.07 is highest score on waiting list.

As at 1st March 2016, there were 48 candidates on the waiting list; the highest total age weighted score on the
waiting list was 112.07 (within the Designated Area)

Could someone remind me how many places the waiting list at Reading normally moves by? (DS's score was 111.5)

It typically moves a few places iirc, (certainly more than Kendrick seems to) however I've just had a trawl back through older threads and haven't yet found any mention. I will keep looking.

Eta I found this for last year, don't know how helpful it is

cutoff on allocations day 113.12, last place off waiting list was 112.69 for day places, 110 for boarding places.
