Number of Children Taking Exams

Post by year5mom »

Hi,

Is there an indication of how many children took the exam last year (2015) and how many will take this year (Sep-2016)?

I was told that there were around 6-8 thousand children taking up until last year, but this year, a whooping 18000 children are taking exams. Is there any truth behind this or just a rumour?

Can someone enlighten me on this?

Thanks.

Last September 9185 children took the test:

I highly doubt whether the number will be that different this year - in fact there might be fewer 'tourists' because the date has been changed to later and after Super Saturday.

How can they have children from Surrey county? The poor kids, travelling all that distance.

Some people feel they have to inflict multiple tests on their children - of course they have very little hope of a place as they don't read the admission policies.
