Information to share in application form
Couple of independents like LEH ( in Hampton) are asking for the information about all the schools that we are applying for our dd. Could somebody please throw some light on possible reason or purpose of school behind this. Also please advise how should we approach this information request?
Thank you.
Thank you.

The reason for doing this is to give them an iidea about how serious your application is and on a macro level whether you are likely to accept an offer. In short whether it is a serious or speculative application. Don't worry about it, they are realistic enough to expect any sensible parents to be applying to a handful of school across a range if selectiveness in order to have some contingency.
mad?
Re: Information to share in application form
My view was that it was none of their business where else we were applying and simply answered "N/A". That may prove to have been a mistake, but only time will tell.workingmom wrote:Couple of independents like LEH ( in Hampton) are asking for the information about all the schools that we are applying for our dd. Re: Information to share in application form
Actually, they just want to know if how many applicants will have a test date clash. It's nothing sinister.
They need to work out when to set their back-up date for exams and interview slots. The schools all talk to each other and they know that they won't see a fair performance from a DC who has done 2 exams a day or ends up arriving for interviews late from a previous interview with a harried and harassed parent.
