What rankings are needed for entry to

Feeling confused even though it has been explained to me several times

no-one can actually tell you what rank is needed as no-one knows which of the girls who took the exam will take up a place at that school.

All we can go on, is what the school has done over the last few years.
so, for example,
HSFG say in their email that they have taken girls up to and including the 285th girl in 2013, 2014, 2015 and the 290th girl in 2016".

So that means in 2016, if you had a rank of say 267, you would have got a place, but if you had a rank of 291, you would have missed out.

The emails from each school should tell you what they have done each year for the last few years.

Remember that they increased the number in year 7 in some schools in 2016, so the 2016 figure will be higher (eg they took girls down to 350 instead of down to 300)
