verbal reasoning papers 1988 - do they go out of date?

Post by libs »

Have been kindly given some VR papers - look like NFER 100 questions, standard format. They are called 'Secondary Selection portfolio Papers 1 -18 (maybe more , the highest one I have been given is paper 18)
The copyright date is 1988 - Athey Educational.

some of the language appears dated ... 'record, disc, gramophone' and names are commonly; Deborah, Wendy and Peter!
Just wondered if they are suitable, perhaps someone is familiar with them... or are the questions dated by now?
Mant thanks...

If they are Athey than I think they are not NfER as they are different publishers. Athey are not (nowadays) the best preparation for Lincolnshire tests, so I don't think it would be wise to rely on them for practice - you could compare them to the NfER type papers and pick out the similar types of question but it is probably best to grit your teeth and fork out for up-to-date papers you know are relevant to Lincs exams.
