Waiting list and appeal

Post by Patty »

My DD is on the waiting list for Wallington High School for Girls in Sutton. She got a score of 352 but lives outside the area. If we appeal, will she be removed from the waiting list?

Please help

She shouldn't be as the waiting list is a separate process from appeals. Even if you loose the appeal, you should still remain on the waiting list - and indeed, I do know of people whose appeals failed but shortly thereafter were offered places because they were the top of the list.

However, it's always worth checking with the school admissions, and stating at all chances that you wish to remain on the waiting list.

Thank you we will contact the schools admissions and see what they have to say.
