Compound Word - A valid question type?

Post by JaysDarlin »

Hello lovely people!

Can someone please confirm that this type of "compound word" question is NOT one of the 21 types?

Q: Find a word that can be put in front of each of the following words to make new compound words:

CAST FALL WARD POUR (answer is DOWN)

Thanks

The NFER 11+ compound word question type is of the form:

Pick two words, one from each set, that go together to make one correctly spelt word:

(motor gas electric) (engine bus cycle)

answer: motorcycle

(IPS example)

This is relevant to you if your child will be sitting an NFER VR 11+ paper.
