Good Luck to all the Wirral children taking the 11+ practice today and for the real tests next week. Also everybody taking Upton Hall and St. Anselm's tomorrow. It will all soon be over! Just the long wait til March then.

Can't believe it's been a year since my son sat it.

Sorry - started separate thread as I wanted to give advice too!! Bet they're all thinking it really, or wondering if we've lost the plot?

I too wish you all Good Luck this year!
How did they all get on today in the 2nd Practice test? I think it is a Practice in anxiety for us parents too!
Did anyone take it in the Grammar schools themselves. If so any idea if the numbers appeared high or low?
My thoughts are with you all having gone through it with my DD last year.

DD took practice then came straight home as she is unwell. :( She has a temp, a headache and a smoker's cough :( :( having been well ALL year!
She is sitting Upton 2moro which we are not panicking about as 11+ is our real hope with eldest already at WKGS.So I'm crosing everything that she'll get some sleep over the weekend and feel reasonably fit to take 1st paper on Tues. Just hope we don't have to postpone which I will do if she's not fit on the day. She's worked ALL year for this and I know it happens to lots of kids but it's SO unfair. :!:

I know one of the biggest problems is keeping them healthy!!
My DS thought the second practise paper was much easier than teh first. I just hope that nerves don't get the better of him!
Good luck to everyone on Tuesdays and Upton tomorrow.

That's better :D

I know that this time last year I looked forward to logging on and seeing the best wishes from all the other forum users. It just seems so quiet on the Wirral forum this year but I bet this years parents are feeling the same.

Kittyhola,

I hope that your daughter is feeling much better today and is o.k. with the Upton tests.

Best of luck to your daughter for today and next 2 Tuesdays :D
