Hi, dear JaysDarlin, the thread ( the old post which I created) you mentioned should be " Tiffin boy waiting list 2008", not 07. I think both Oesmugso and me are correct: what he mentioned (229) is the initial offers on the March of 2nd 08; what I meant(224) is the final cutting -off marks around July 08 ( 80% sure.) The boys who got the initial offers turned them down, so, the boys on the waiting list were being offered the chances and and marks also being lowered from 229 to around 224 or 223.
Kind warning 2009: make your boys get into Tiffin in the first around rather than waiting on the "waiting list". It is predicted that there would be less boys turning down the initial offers than the previous year.
The reason is simple: less boys go to private schools nowadays. If your boys is 10 marks lower than the passing mark, let's fine, give Tiffin up and happily move on; if only 3 or 4 marks below, oh, the waiting time would be very unpleasant .
Good luck everyone! Do let us know your DD's result. Remember: we will share your feelings whatever they are: happy or sad... that's what this forum is for.
