Certainly last year Wilsons sent out results in the last week of January which let you know if your child had passed or not and in addition whether the score was above the mark which would traditionally have been offered a place.

Unfortunately Sutton did not. :(

Wilsons' result

Post by tomtom »

We've checked the letter Wilsons sent before the test, it says that results will be received on 2nd March from the council and that they will send a letter with details the following day. It would be good to know early but they don;t indicate that they will tell us. Could it be that last year was a pilot that they have decided not to follow this year?

tks

We had no idea that they were going to tell us last year. Just like this year the information stated we would hear in early March. Out of the blue we got a letter the last Wednesday in January with the results.

The admissions officer is lovely at Wilsons and I suspect would tell you whether they planned to issue results like last year.

According the news page on the school's website the results should be out soon :)

Giulio, I think we may have met at the Wallington test. All the best.

Yes you are absolutely right
From their website:
The papers have now all been marked and Governors will be finalizing their lists shortly. As soon as that process is complete, we will be writing to parents with the outcomes of the test though not, please note, offers, which will be made formally by the Local Authorities on March 2nd.
Good luck to you all

They are also consulting on their proposed admission arrangements for 2010

It looks as if they are abolishing their foundation places and just going completely on rank order.

Got the letter from the Wilson's today.

He passed which is a great relief. Thanks to everyone for their support during the hard days esp. Surreymum and the sugestions for motivation.

The letter was carefully worded. The pass mark is 162.50 and those who achieve a score greater than 167.00 have been offered a place in recent years. 366 boys have passed this year. Offers will be sent out in March by Local authority.

Wish everone all the best.
