girl got 114, HT recomndation is 2attitude/3recom but ht recomends GSchool in written report, also a headgirl. Extinuatiog circumstances include english as second language and cultural differences. Is there a chance of successful appeal?

Whether ESL/cultural differences carry any weight will depend on whether your daughter was born and brought up in the UK, or arrived more recently.

The second score might also be taken into account.

Good to hear that she is head girl - unlikely to carry any weight at an appeal, though.

A friend of ours had an academic 3 recommendation and a "recommend Grammar School" statement from the HT in the HT writeup. The panel asked about this as it seemed to be inconsistent. Best have an answer ready for that one. I would ask the HT to explain.
